Data center quality scoring provides an objective, quantified view of your facility's operational readiness. Unlike tier classification alone, quality scoring evaluates actual performance across multiple dimensions with real-world testing.

Scoring dimensions

Data center quality is assessed across five core dimensions: power and electrical systems (redundancy, capacity, maintenance), cooling and environmental controls (temperature, humidity, airflow), network infrastructure (connectivity, cabling, performance), physical security and access control, and operational procedures and documentation.

How scores are calculated

Each dimension is evaluated through on-site testing, documentation review and operational assessment. Individual dimension scores (0-100) are weighted based on criticality and combined into an overall facility quality score.

What the scores mean

Scores above 80 indicate a well-managed facility with minor improvement areas. Scores between 60-80 indicate fair quality with specific gaps to address. Scores below 60 indicate significant quality gaps requiring immediate attention.

Testing methodology

On-site testing includes thermal imaging for cooling assessment, power quality measurement, structured cabling certification, network performance testing, physical security walkthrough and DR procedure review.
